a) Programme types
b) Genres
Most of the radio shows will consist of just music and a little bit of talking from the host, this is because shows like this take up 63% of the overall time in a day. The second biggest genre of show on this station is the news, this takes up 29% of the time in a day and finally Sports shows and just interview shows make up 4% each.
In our radio show production, i would like to be on the package/content team.
The planning phase consists of research about the target audience, and what content they want to put in the radio. The pre production phase consists of drafting scripts, arranging guests and clearing rights for songs. This process makes creating the show less annoying and more straight forward. The production (pre-recorded) phase includes things like recording the parts of the show that will be pre recorded like interviews or news. This process also consists of making the jingles effects and sweeper. Like the previous phase, this part also makes the production of the show much easier and straight forward. The production (live) phase is mainly just the process of recording the actual show. In the post production phase, the radio show will be uploaded somewhere where people can listen if they missed it live.
